not gonna lie, that is pretty awesome

did they even sell rovers, let alone rover SD1's, in STRAYA?

They certainly sold the SD1's predecessor, the P6, in Australia. Developed a reasonable following too.

There's certainly reviews from the Ozzy press on them, but I'm not sure how many were actually sold. Australia seems like a very big missed opportunity for Rover. One of the two very Australian automotive things is big V8 RWD saloons (along with Utes), which just so happens to be exactly what Rover sold.

Unfortunately, just as Leyland Australia were starting to get the ball rolling rather than just selling Austin 1100s and Landcrabs, the money ran out.
